Fibrous Epulis...💡


● Hyperplastic fibrous tissue mass located at the gingiva.

● Usually the fibrous epulis is the same color as the oral mucosa and firm on palpation, although sometimes hard if bone is present within the lesion.

● Commonly occurs on the gingiva near the front of the mouth between two teeth.

● Diagnosis is confirmed by an excisional biopsy.


✍️ Treatment

● Surgical excision of the lesion.

● Curettage of any underlying bony defect

● Affected teeth may also need to be extracted or Scaling and Root Planing performed.
