Tooth development can be divided into:-
1 - initiation
2- morphogensis تكون الشكل
3- histogenesis

Teeth form from embryonic cells.

Tooth bud or tooth germ
هي البذرة التي يتكون منها الاسنان

Tooth buds are derived from:
1- ectoderm ---- of first branchial arch
2- ectomesenchyme --- of neural crest

The tooth bud is organized into three parts:-

1- enamel organ

2- dental papilla

3- dental follicle or sac

The enamel organ, dental papilla, and dental follicle together forms one unit, called the tooth germ. This is of importance because all the tissues of a tooth and its supporting structures form from these distinct cellular aggregations(تجمعات ).
